Okuurrrr! Except you have been living under a rock, then you will know that US – based rapper Cardi B was in Lagos this past weekend and girrrl, Lagos was practically shut down by the singer. To say she and the other fun-lovers that were part of the event had a blast was an under statement. Traffic to the island was brought almost to a standstill as all roads led to the Eko Atlantic Energy City where the maiden edition of the Livespot Music festival was held. On the bill as well were also crowd favourites Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Darey, Olamide and many others.
The rapper was her usual outspoken, frank self and showed her delight at being in Nigeria by constantly hyping the country as well as the warmth and hospitality of the people to her 55 million strong Instagram followers. Infact her Instagram live was lit! Many say that she single-handedly sold Nigeria as the place to visit to the rest of the world and I do agree. Not just that, what also endeared her to fans was her open unpretentious way she reached out to Nigerians. She took her time to research and wear the green white green colours of the Nigerian flag in her costume and her hair.
Check out some sights and sounds from her visit and the event.
