This should be good news to producers of feature films and documentaries from Africa. AFRO TV – the Afrotainment channel owned by Camerounian Yves Bollanga has recently signed a deal to air Afrocentric content on Comcast to be screened to the whole of North America.

According to him in an interview with Forbes Africa “There is an unfulfilled demand for Black content on TV in North America. Our vision is to produce and broadcast Afro-centric original content to as many devices and households as we possibly can.” explained Bollanga. So if you know you are a producer and interested in getting your work on he network, you had better hit them up. Then if you are in the US and want to see more content from Africa and Black communities you should check them out on Comcast.
