It used to be that you could only watch Amazon Prime films with a VPN but now with that announcement subscribers have access to over 20,000 movies directly on their electronic appliances, all at subsidized price of N2.300.

Not just that Amazon Prime has made in-roads by hiring a seasoned Nigerian Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu as Head of Nigerian local originals and they have commissioned production houses Inkblot Productions, Anthill Studios and Greoh Studios to produce content for them. One of the movies commissioned is the Jadesola Osiberu’s highly anticipated ‘Gangs of Lagos‘ starring Adesua Etomi and Tobi Bakre.

Nigerian users can access other popular shows and movies on Prime Video like the superhero series The Boys, Arsenal football club’s documentary All or Nothing,  spy action-thriller Reacher, and the thriller/spy movie All the Old Knives.
