Some time back we mentioned that producer/director Kemi Adetiba had launched a Monologue challenge for the ‘King Of Boys 2’ – The sequel in partnership with a multi-national beverage drink company and Netflix. (See here Kemi Adetiba launches KOB 2 Challenge ) Out of lots of impressive entries, they have finally selected the winners. Find below photos of some of them.
These are the Star winners. She is a broadcaster called Tope Olowoniyan. She did a good job in here interpretation of the role as Eniola Salami. I like how she flipped the switch and fought back as Eniola.
The next Star winner is Jide Oyegbile
He is (get this!) a Medical doctor as well as an actor, director, writer and producer. Talk about a triple threat.
The next winner (in no particular order is) Derby Frankson – A word about Derby. She is an Alumni of Emem Isong’s Royal Arts Academy and has been known to win most monologues she set her mind to do, When you watch her entry you will understand why. She was magnificent!
See her’s here Derby Frankson’s KOB entry
Next up is Amaka Oruh. Where do I start? Oh my gosh! Amaka is a revelation. What I love about her were the different languages she spoke in the piece; Yoruba, Igbo even Russian language!! Talk about a contender. Amazing performance. Well done and congrats.
Here it is Amanda Oruh’s KOB entry
Next up is Israel Olutimeyin who did an amazing job acting as both Aare & Eniola!
His entry was that on Aare played by one of my favourite actors Akin Lewis.
Next up is our child actor. 10 year old Toluwani Tunde-Olaoye, His entry was lovely Lol… With a father that is director, Tunde Olaoye why am I not surprised? He acted as ‘Makanaki’ in his piece and did a good job..
Here is his entry
These are by no means all the entries. Check the @KingOfBoys Instgaram page for all the winners entries,
