It’s a week to the release of ‘Rise’ – the inspiring story of NBA basket ball great Giannis Antetokoumpo and his family’s improbable rise from the mean streets of Sepolia, Greece to the dizzying heights of the NBA.

 

 

The movie is directed by Nigerian born, South African based film maker Akin Omotosho (Vaya) and  stars Dayo Okeniyi, Yetide Badaki, Manish Dayal, Taylor Nichols, introducing Ral Agada and Uche Agada.

 

The film was written by Arash Amel (“A Private War”) and produced by Bernie Goldmann (“300”). Giannis Antetokounmpo and Douglas S. Jones served as the executive producers. See the trailer below
