A thought-provoking film on the insurgency in the North is coming to cinemas in Nigeria from November 27. It is titled ‘The Milk Maid’ and it was inspired by events of the kidnapping of the Chibok girls in Borno state in 2014 by extremist group Boko Haram.
Filmmaker Desmond Ovbiagele Nigerian film maker based in Canada wrote & produced it. He wrote a screenplay about Aisha, a Fulani milkmaid, searching for her younger sister, who approaches the religious militants responsible for their separation.
